Once the fart noises filled the air, the ceremony took a serious turn when the speaker demanded to know who was behind the whoopee-cushion placement.

After the perpetrators were identified, they were removed from the ceremony and immediately placed in "the hole" to think about what they had done.

Excellent; now I understand why those ceremonies are usually held outside. Actually, I've soured on fart jokes since I found out that's how our Commander-In-Chief communicates with his advisors.
