Di Yam Gazlonim (The Yiddish Pirates of Penzance)

Lisa and I were proud to attend the second run of Di Yam Gazlonim at the JCC on 76th and Amsterdam in NYC. If you're in the area during the next couple of weeks, treat yourself to a fun time and go see a performance. Don't worry if you're Yiddish-impaired, because there are supertitles to help you along.

From today's New York Times review:
“Di Yam Gazlonim!,” which the National Yiddish Theater-Folksbiene presented in November, reopened last night at the JCC in Manhattan, Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street, (212) 279-4200.
For more information, please head to the Folksbiene (National Yiddish Theatre) website.

Saw the NY1 piece and was dismayed to see that was not even a mention of the true creator of this fabulous work. The piece made gave the director a lot of PR however.
